樹木内部腐朽を非破壊で正確に検知し

内部欠陥を2次元カラー断層画像で

わかりやすく表示します。



人体のX線CT(Computer Tomgraphy)や

MRI(核磁気共鳴断層画像撮影)と同様

樹木を傷つけることのない非破壊検査で

2000年ドイツ優秀技術賞を受賞しました。






特別な熟練を要せず現場で画像診断が

できることから英国(80台以上)を中心に

世界各国で使われています。



This highly sophysticated

system uses a series of

sensors placed around the

stem of the tree at the

desired level of

investigation and

connected to a computer.



対象の樹幹に鉄釘を打ち込み釘頭を

専用ハンマーで打撃し、センサー間を

伝わる音波伝播時間をモジュールで測り

PCソフトで演算・解析して内部の密度分布

(腐朽分布)をカラー画像で表示します。



By tapping special pins

placed into the sub-bark

layer of the tree,

a series of sound waves

can be cross-interpretted

by all the sensors.


This provides a cross-

section picture of

the tree's interior

condition at any given

level of the stem using

the accurate measurement

of sound velocities through

varying densities of tissue.


PICUS Tomograph can be used

either at ground level or

high in the crown of a tree.

It is thus possible, using

multiple readings,

to assess accurately

the condition of the

entire stem of a tree

is required.



樹木の基部だけでなく、先端部まで

計測すれば(架設足場や高所作業車使用)

詳しい腐朽の原因がわかります。


The problem Municipalities

and private owners are held

liable for damages caused by

their trees.

Most often trees are broken

or thrown due to decay caused

by fungal infections.


To avoid risks the safety

of trees has to be assessed

on a regular basis.

The usual investigation

method and devices

need several years

of experience, inspect

only small parts of

the trunk , or cause

severe injuries

(e.g. increment borers,

penetrometers)

Their range of application

is therefore limited.


これまでの樹木診断方式はは樹体内に

錐を貫入して錐にかかる抵抗で密度分布

(腐朽度)を検知してしてきましたが、

データは一方向の線的な情報だけで

判読には数年以上のの経験が必要でした。



またドリル貫入により病菌を内部に

拡大させる危険もありました。

直径が錐の長さ2 倍以上の樹木は

測定できませんでした。




The PICUS Sonic Tomgraph


can investigate

very large trees which

have been a problem

with previous method.

It is easy to apply and

yields precise results.



The measuring is based

on the fact that sound

wood is a better wave

conductor than wood

damaged by decay.


測定原理:


健全な材中を伝わる音波の速度は腐朽した

欠陥材中を伝わるそれより速いという

簡単な原理に基づいています。



The device uses a series

of sonic sensors

which detect waves

induced and propagated

through the wood.

Typically 10 to 14

sonic sensors are

strategically placed

around the tree.

Each sensors is connected

to a nail which is

tapped into contact with

the wood by a hammer

at each inspection point.

A small tap on a metal

pin is all that is

required to send sound

waves which are received

and measured by the other

sensors.

Mounting the magnetic sensors

to the tree by using small

roofnails.

Recording the geometry of

the tree's cross-section.

In most cases two perpendicular

measurements with a calliper suffice.

If not, the software provides

assistance for a detailed

description of the geometry.

Induction of stress waves:

a slight tap on

each sensor.

All other sensors measure

the velocity of

the stress waves.

Handheld PC controls

the measurement and

stores the data.



小型ハンマーで釘の頭を

数回打撃します。

伝播時間とセンサー間の

距離を基にソフトウエアで

音波速度が計算され

画像化されます、

Handheld PC shows

the result of

the measurement

graphically right

at the tree.


4回のスクロールで約10秒後

ノートPC画面上に

断層画像が表示されます。
